It seemed like he’d be happy to be head of a fabulously successful hybrid car company. Then the acquisition of Twitter, one of the most widely used and influential social media platforms, became the next opportunity for Elon Musk to put a jewel in his crown. And yet the entrepreneur has grown even more ambitious and rapacious in his clear desire to exert control over modern life. We just read this excellent, frankly bone-chilling article from Drop Site about Elon’s shady outlining of a project called “United States of America, Inc.” and its ties to the Trump campaign, in which Musk is investing tons of money and time. Because he wasn’t born in the U.S., Musk can’t be the president himself. What we’re left wondering is what position of power his current political maneuvering will open up for him.
So, for Episode 196 of KK&F, we’re sitting down with Sam Butler, author of the Drop Site article, to talk about Musk’s deeply sketchy lottery and everywhere else on the Trump campaign that bears his fingerprints. Sam is also working on a documentary about Big Tech’s efforts to dismantle our democracy. We hope you’ll join us for the episode! Paying subscribers can tune in Friday via Substack for the full video; everyone else gets the audio via Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Podcasts on Saturday night. See you soon!
I can’t wait to watch this
Actually, I don't think Tesla has ever made a hybrid car. They have been full electric going back to the days for the Lotus-based Roadster.
