Listen now | This week, author and organizer Daisy Pitkin joins KK&F to break down the Amazon Labor Union’s thrilling win — but also to give us a sense of what comes next and what this victory means for workers attempting to keep up the momentum of unionization at Amazon, Starbucks, and other mega-corporations.
I learned a lot from your discussion about current Union organizing during you discussion with KK&F.
Plus it brought back so many memories from organizing in the 70s, especially your discussion about how important building a structure to support the growth of the Union that comes from sheer grit and determination.
I can't help but remember the exhilaration that resulted from turning off the Board of Governors sound system, installing the Unions own sound system and taking over the meeting. I can still feel the excitement from storming the President's house during their Board dinner and finally planning and executing a total Union walkout.
Daisy, thanks again because you've made it easy to see what we need to do to keep the Union movement moving forward. My best always -- you're amazing.
