After Israel imposed a communications blackout in Gaza earlier this week, meanwhile increasing its violent attacks on civilians, the situation of Palestinians is dire. And there’s no question about it: When it comes to national leadership, the international community has abandoned Gaza. Nations led by neoliberal warmongers (like the United States) are supplying Israel with vast resources to carry out its genocide. But at the same time, hundreds of thousands of everyday people have turned out in cities across the globe to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and opposition to the ongoing ethnic cleansing campaign of the Israeli government. It’s a harsh contrast between the political agenda of the powers that be and the political will of working-class people around the world.
This week, we’re continuing to cover the latest updates on Palestine, including the response of the international community. Our special guest is Omar Baddar. Isn't a situation when "We the People" want one thing but those who are supposedly hired by them to serve them do the exact opposite in their name and on their dime... surreal?
