Listen now | This week on KK&F, we’re bringing you a heated debate with our guest, Michael Tracey, on the topic of Trump’s indictments. Michael maintains that a reasonable person wouldn’t judge Trump’s behavior as criminal. Of course, the Trump campaigns and presidency have heavily featured a high degree of political theater, so that it’s possible to take the stance — as Michael does — that the charges of (for example) election interference that the former president now faces are taking his politicking too seriously. But we take the other side of the debate: that Trump worked to undermine the 2020 election and took meaningful steps toward doing so. The indictments he faces are legitimate, and in our argument, we lay out the reasons why.
I’ve never really followed or kept up with Michael Tracey. I have heard TYT call him basically a moron for a while. After this interview, I have to agree with them. He seems to keep himself willfully ignorant on the facts and sticks to terrible talking points that when confronted on he can’t provide any more details or reasoning. I’m glad I have invested no real time in any of his reporting, if the rest is like this interview, I’ll probably get better reporting by interviewing my brick wall.
I can’t possibly express how much this dude annoyed me!!!! First of all this “civil war legal code” has been used a TON of time since then. He acts like the trump traitor team did nothing but say bad things and are being attacked - crap! Then they go to the j6 hooligans who defaced our capitals and beat the hell out of the police ?? Omg- just don’t even. Those people got off SOFT . As far as Trump not taking “physical action” , there is a reason why people in murder trials who are seen as the brains get the harshest penalty- because they ARE the most responsible for the crime! He says they never went after any Pres criminally before Trump, ever heard of NIXON?? He massively downplays the horrible actions by Trump and his circle. The dearest thing to any American should be their vote and I am amazed people aren’t outraged more. Anyone taking up for traitor trump is fighting for tearing down our democracy, period. I noticed from the very beginning of this debate he was already screaming and excited. Why can’t they ever have a calm conversation on just the merits of their argument? Because their argument can’t win on its merits. Good job Kyle (and Krystal)
