This week, Ben Burgis joins us to talk about the current events at the front of your mind. One of the major lightning rods for political discussion in the past weeks has been the movement to push Spotify to censor podcaster Joe Rogan. Among the things we discussed with Ben are what the prevailing narrative gets wrong about Rogan, how to understand his politics amidst the accusations of far-right sympathies that are ascribed to him, and how this fits into a larger story of censorship and free speech — a story in which the left can play a serious role.
You can listen to this conversation as a podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pandora, and more.

Hey guys, I don't know if you read this feedback or not but ... some feedback from a dedicated subscriber
I really love your show. The unique fusion between two intellectual, political, and integrious heavy-weights like you sets you apart, in my view, from the other left-wing shows.
I find the content to be both uplifting and enlightening and I really think you guys are the bleeding-edge of defining what a new fit-for-purpose left-wing ideology should look like in the 21st Century.
That makes it all the more frustrating, when there is a tendency for Kyle to at times dominate the conversation with his views. It can be difficult to watch Kyle consistently dominating topics, interrupting other speakers, and impressing his interpretation of their ideas onto the conversation.
Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse. But this one was a little painful to watch, and for me, if the trend continues I'm not sure I can stay subscribed.
Obviously, it's the synergy of opinions that makes this show great, and sometimes that's a messy affair - I get that. But my point is simply that there should be relative balance in contributions, because that's where the real genius and quality of your content lies, in my opinion.
I enjoy both of your content in isolation - which is why I avidly follow both Breaking Points and Secular Talk - but I come here for a fusion and synergy of both.
I hope you don't take any of this the wrong way !
Best,
