Hey, I just want to comment on Kyle asking why A is in the LGBTQIA from an aromantic asexual perspective. There's definitely not so much legal discrimination, but there's definitely personal discrimination. If you were just an asexual but want romantic relationships, it is very hard to find romantic partners who would give up sex for you unless they were also asexual. If you're aromantic asexual, there's societal pressure to create families. Some folks will think there's something physically wrong with you if you explain you won't do so because of your asexuality. Some refuse to understand and just think asexuality is made up for attention (like what some people think about bisexuality). Mainstream media doesn't portray asexuality or aromanticism very positively either - aromantic asexuals can be seen as sociopaths for not feeling love or asexuality is caused by having a medical condition or trauma (House MD).

I was pretty depressed, thinking something is wrong with me and having family to invalidate my asexuality. At least, in the LGBTQIA community, there's always someone to accept and support you. I appreciate Mike for doing his best to explain this.
